Description
The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme aims at enhancing the livehood security of people in rural areas by guaranteeing hundred days of wage-employment in a financial year to a rural household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.

Eligibility criteria
This scheme can be availed by adult members of any rural household who are willing to do public work-related to unskilled manual work at a minimum wage of Rs.100 per day.

How to Avail
The unemployed adults are required to contact the Gram Panchayat in order to avail the scheme.
