UPTU SEE 2010 Counselling Program

The Uttar Pradesh Technical University counselling program is organized for all categories and sub-categories including General, OBC, SC/ST, AF, GL (girls), Kashmiri Migrants and others. It has two phases:

• Off-Campus Online Counselling
• On-Campus On-line Counselling

The Off-Campus Online counselling is organized just for demonstration, and students can see trends through it. It is advised to all students that they should attend it. You don’t need to go anywhere – just an internet connection is enough to participate in this phase.

The On-Campus Online counselling is the actual admission process, and generally organized after IIT and AIEEE counselling’s. It is organized at selected centres and students need to attend it in order to take admission.

UPTU has not announced the couselling dates and program schedule so far. We will update you about this announcement.

Domicile Requirement For UPTU SEE Admissions

UPTU website clearly says that:

• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination (12th/graduation etc.) from an institution located in Uttar Pradesh and who do not claim for any reserved category are eligible for admission to all the courses at all the institutions against available General (OPEN) seats (No certificate required).
• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in State of U.P. and are domicile of U.P. and belong to Schedule Caste (SC) of U.P. / Schedule Tribe (ST) of U.P. / Other Backward Classes of U.P. are eligible for admission against available reserved seats of their category.(Certificate no. 1 or 2 as applicable is required) [Respective Codes: UPSC/UPST/UPBC]
• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P.; and whose parents are domicile of U.P.; and who have not claimed for any reserved category, are also eligible for admission to courses offered at all institutions under General (OPEN) category. Such candidate has to produce the domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only)  at the time of counselling (Certificate no. 3).   [Code:UPGD] If you fail to get the domicile certificate at the time of counselling – You will not be allowed in counselling.
• Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P.; and whose parents are NOT domicile of U.P.and who have not claimed for any reserved category, are eligible for admission to All India seats at all private institutions under General (OPEN) category.
