पूर्वोत्तर रेलवे जनवरी से मार्च के बीच मेला स्पेशल सहित तकरीबन 57 स्पेशल ट्रेनें नौतनवां, इलाहाबाद, मथुरा, अयोध्या आदि रूटों पर संचालित करने की कवायद में जुट गया है। यह ट्रेनें खिचड़ी मेला, माघ मेला एवं अन्य त्योहार की वजह से चलाये जाने की तैयारियां पूरी कर ली गई हैं। वाणिज्य विभाग ने ट्रेन संचालन की आवश्यकता भी जता दी है।
बता दें कि पूर्वांचल के गोरखनाथ मंदिर में कई दिन तक चलने वाले खिचड़ी मेले में लाखों की भीड़ होती है। इसमें अधिकतर लोग नेपाल एवं आसपास के इलाकों से आते हैं। नेपाल की तरफ से आने वाली संभावित भीड़ की वजह से दो स्पेशल ट्रेनें नौतनवां रूट पर, चार स्पेशल ट्रेनें माघ मेले की वजह से वाराणसी से इलाहाबाद रूट, गोंडा से अयोध्या, कासगंज से मथुरा, बरेली से मथुरा, टनकपुर एवं गोरखपुर से पनियहवां रूट पर संचालित करने का खाका तैयार किया जा रहा है। Continue reading Special Trains by North Eastern Railways for Mela
For the first time, Eastern Railway will run as many as 80 EMU special trains for Ganga Sagar Mela between Sealdah and Namkhana daily from January 12-16 for ferrying pilgrims and extra rush of passengers.
Of them, there will be 4 (four) Down special trains between Sealdah and Namkhana and 3 Up special trains from Namkhana to Sealdah.Two up special trains will also be run from Lakshmikantapur to Sealdah and 3 Down Lakshmikantapur-Namkhana specials and four (4) Namkhana-Lakshmikantapur Up special trains will also be run from the period.Simultaneously, 34933 Up Namkhana-Lakshmikantapur local and 34981 Up Kakdwip-Lakshmikantapur local will be extended up to Sealdah for the above mentioned dates only
For clearance of heavy rush of pilgrims during Holy Gangasagar Mela, the Eastern Railway will run one pair of special trains between Namkhana and Gorakhpur leaving Namkhana on January 15 and Gorakhpur on January 12.From Namkhana the train will leave on Sunday (15 January) at 11.30 p.m. and reach Gorakhpur at 6.45 p.m. on the next day. Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Tirunelveli): T.No.06021 Chennai Central – Nagercoil Special will leave Chennai Central at 22.30 hrs. on 13.1.2012 and arrive Nagercoil at 14.00 hrs. the next day.T.No.06022 Nagercoil – Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Nagercoil at 12.40 hrs. on 17.1.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 03.30 hrs. the next day.The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Tirunelveli and Valliyur.
